Elvis & Rachel Kalvans
Latvia
Elvis and Rachel Kalvans call Red Mountain Community church home. Rachel grew up attending and has been a member for almost 20 years. Elvis attended RMCC for the 8 years he spent in America.
Elvis grew up and was saved through Eagle’s Wings ministry. Rachel met him in 2012, serving separately at Eagle’s Wings camp center. Elvis was a camp leader, and Rachel was an intern through New Hope Latvia, an orphan ministry.
In 2014, they moved to America and got married. After spending 8 years in America, God called them back to serve in Latvia. Elvis was called to manage the farm that helps financially sustain Eagle’s Wings Christian camp center. The Good Shepherd Latvia is a 500-acre farm with 600 head of sheep and 4 farmhands.
Elvis also mentors men in need, while teaching them husbandry on the farm. The Kalvans are a part of Madona’s Baptist Church, where Elvis is a deacon and Rachel is a part of the women’s ministry. They have 2 young children, Elvis II and Elora. In addition to being a full-time mom, Rachel uses her gift of hospitality to create community and support Elvis. She is also investing in the lives of women in their area. After over 5 years back in Latvia, the Lord continues to affirm their growing ministries and give them a direction for the future.
